Un'immersione nelle fasi preparatorie dello spettacolo di danza Crowd della coreografa Gisèle Vienne. Lo sguardo di Patrick Chiha mira a restituire allo spettatore il processo di continua osmosi tra i movimenti, l'energia dei corpi, l'incontro-scontro tra i danzatori e ciò che avviene fuori dal palcoscenico, ovvero le conversazioni tra i danzatori nei camerini che si riflettono (e viceversa) in modo consapevole o meno sulle interazioni "guidate" dalle indicazioni della coreografa. Il dispositivo cinematografico del ralenti ci consente di osservare da vicino i corpi che sul palco si muovono al suono di musica techno. Realtà e finzione si fondono e un documentario sulla danza si trasforma in un ritratto sui danzatori e un'esplorazione dei rapporti che li (e ci) legano in quanto esseri umani.

An immersion in the preparatory phases of Gisèle Vienne’s dance piece Crowd. Patrick Chiha's camera keeps us plunged into the process of continuous osmosis between the movements, the energy of the bodies, the encounter-clash between the dancers and what happens outside the stage. The staged one-on-one conversations between the performers in the dressing rooms shape on, consciously or not, the interactions on stage "guided" by the choreographer's directions. The use of slow motion allows us to closely observe the bodies that dance on stage to the to rhythm of techno music. Reality and fiction begin to blend and a documentary about dance turns into a portrait of the performers and into an exploration of the relationships that connect them (and us) as human beings.
