Parvis è un giovane di origini iraniane che vive ad Hannover. Beccato a rubare al supermercato, si ritrova a fare da interprete ai rifugiati di una struttura cittadina. Lì incontra Amon che, insieme alla sorella, è desideroso di vivere una vita meno precaria. Mentre tra i due inizia una relazione tortuosa, la sorella scopre che non le sarà concesso rimanere in Germania. Parvis is a young man of Iranian origin who lives in Hanover. Caught stealing from the supermarket, he finds himself working as an interpreter for refugees in a city facility. There he meets Amon who, together with his sister, is eager to live a less precarious life. As the two begin a torturous relationship, her sister discovers that she will not be allowed to stay in Germany. Winner of the Teddy Award at the 2020 Berlinale, Shariat's first feature follows the characters as they take possession of a place, managing to grasp the subtle movement through which the individual and intimate body transforms itself into a full-fledged social body, and hence becoming wholly visible.
