NEGRUM3 osserva il cammino esistenziale della gioventù nera di San Paolo. Facendo tesoro dell’immaginario afrofuturistico e mescolando interviste e performance, si delinea un’estetica dell’auto-accettazione di chi comprende la propria “negritudine” e la considera d’inestimabile valore nella battaglia anti-razzista. I giovani performer brasiliani vivono la loro esistenza nella rivendicazione dell'essere nero, dell'essere queer, affermando il loro bisogno e diritto alla libertà e alla critica della normatività.

Un manifesto della lotta per l'individualità dei corpi e per la pluralità della negritudine. I personaggi, ispirati da artisti come Sun Ra o Janelle Monáe, rivendicano la loro presenza nello spazio, ricordando il passato per migliorare e/o ricostruire il presente.

BLACKN3SS dives into the journey of the black youth of São Paulo. Following the afrofuturistic immaginary and merging interviews and performances, the movie presents the aesthetics of those who accept, recognize and comprehend their own blackness as something positive and useful in the anti-racist battle. These artists live their existence in the claim of being black, queer, affirming their need and right to freedom and to the criticism of normativity.

A manifesto of the struggle for the individuality of the bodies and for the plurality of blackness. The characters, inspired by artists such as Sun Ra or Janelle Monáe, claim their existence, recalling the past in order to improve and/or rebuild the present.
