David Miller è un anziano architetto svizzero che ha deciso di togliersi la vita ricorrendo alla pratica del suicidio assistito. Si reca in un vecchio motel, che aveva progettato egli stesso. Qui trova Esperanza, una vedova spagnola che conosce sin da giovane, e che il caso vuole sia l'addetta per portare a termine la procedura di suicidio assistito. Perché la procedura possa svolgersi regolarmente è necessario un testimone, ed è così che viene reclutato Treplev, immigrato irregolare che lavora come prostituto nella camera accanto. In una notte che si rivelerà densa e lunga nulla andrà come previsto. Presentato all’interno del programma ACID del Festival di Cannes 2015, il film è stato nominato al Prix Lumières 2016 nella categoria miglior film francofono.

David Miller is an old Swiss architect, who decided to commit suicide through the assisted suicide practice. He goes to a motel, he designed himself. There he meets Esperanza, a Spanish widow, that he has known all his life and who is the designed assistant to complete the assisted suicide practice. Since a witness is need for the procedure to be regular, they hire Treplev, an illegal immigrant who works as a prostitute in the next room. In a dense and long night nothing will go as planned. The movie was nominated for the Prix Lumières 2016 in the best francophone movie category at the Cannes Festival in 2015.
