Nei primi anni del Novecento, in un carteggio enigmatico, Rosa confida all’amica Giorgina che l'uomo-macchina di cui parla Marinetti non è un futuro che riguarda i soli uomini, come dicono i futuristi. È un fatto presente e concreto per le donne, che Giorgina e le altre possono ricevere “per posta”.
L’ironia e il capovolgimento dei codici e dogmi culturali sono il fondamento di We Should All Be Futurists, che racconta con piglio tagliente e comico un mondo in cui ad appropriarsi degli esiti del futurismo sono proprio le donne. Angela Norelli mescola fiction e materiali d’archivio con un montaggio che non interrompe mai il flusso narrativo andando, anzi, ad acuire sempre di più l’interesse in chi guarda, raccontando la condizione femminile del passato con echi che risuonano ancora oggi.

In the early years of the twentieth century, in an enigmatic correspondence, Rosa confides to her friend Giorgina that the man-machine of which Marinetti speaks is not a future that concerns men alone, as the Futurists say. It is a present and concrete fact for women, which Giorgina and the others can receive "by mail".
Irony and the reversal of cultural codes and dogmas are the foundation of We Should All Be Futurists, which tells with a sharp and comic attitude a world in which women are the ones who appropriate the results of futurism. Angela Norelli mixes fiction and archival materials with an editing that never interrupts the narrative flow, going on the contrary, to sharpen more and more the interest of the viewer, telling the female condition of the past with echoes that still resonate today.
