Ancora di più, un corpo in più. Uno slogan, uno stendardo che sorregge da sé un montaggio singolare, pensato per un’installazione e rielaborato in forma di proiezione canonica con un triplo split screen, per raccontare militanze, riunioni, manifestazioni, dibattiti, interviste all’inizio degli anni Novanta in Francia, in epoca di diffusione dell’AIDS e di urgente necessità di sensibilizzazione sul tema.
La rielaborazione grafica e musicale delle immagini puntella e riadatta la mastodontica quantità di materiale che Lionel Soukaz ha raccolto nei suoi Journal Annales, restituendo un’energia che lo spettro della malattia non è in grado di dissipare. Un frammento densissimo e intenso di una testimonianza decennale, gestito dal montatore-autore Stéphane Gérard nella necessità di “andare avanti e indietro tra azioni pubbliche e elaborazioni private, costruendo continuità tra incontri e manifestazioni per riflettere al meglio l’operato degli attivisti”.

A slogan, a banner that supports a singular montage, designed for an installation and reworked in the form of a canonical projection with a triple split screen, to tell the story of militancy, meetings, demonstrations, debates, interviews at the beginning of the nineties in France, in the era of the spread of AIDS and the urgent need to raise awareness on the topic.
The graphic and musical reworking of the images supports and adapts the gigantic quantity of material that Lionel Soukaz collected in his Journal Annales, restoring an energy that the specter of the disease is unable to dissipate. A very dense and intense fragment of a ten-year testimony, managed by the editor-author Stéphane Gérard in the need to “go back and forth between public actions and private elaborations, building continuity between meetings and demonstrations to best reflect the work of the activists”.
