Nella quieta oscurità della Londra suburbana, il fantasma di un bambino accende la miccia per una riflessione a posteriori sul rimosso della storia omosessuale all’inizio del Novecento in Inghilterra, fra caccia alle streghe e accuse infondate.

Un accostamento di animazione, filmati in pellicola, diapositive e pieghe autobiografiche per discutere l’alterità trascurata e nascosta dietro la patina borghese e capitalista delle famiglie e delle comunità, che diagnosticano invece di cercare di capire e concepiscono il coming out come una “morte metaforica”.

In the quiet darkness of suburban London, the ghost of a child lights the fuse for a retrospective reflection on the repressed history of homosexuality at the beginning of 20^th century in England, between witch haunting and unfounded accusations.

A juxtaposition of animation, analogue film, slides and autobiographic twists to discuss the neglected and hidden otherness behind the bourgeois and capitalist patina of families and communities, which diagnose instead of trying to understand and conceive the coming out as a “metaphorical death”.
