Una voce dice loro cosa fare, come lavarsi, come comportarsi, costringendoli nello schema di una routine. Come in un enigma irrisolvibile, uno sguardo tra la satira e il surreale sulle trappole del quotidiano e sull’alienazione che detta il nostro stile di vita. Raccontato con ambigua ironia e sotterranea inquietudine, Future Flowers è un’opera incentrata sugli imperativi economici e produttivi imposti nella quotidianità: sogni eterodiretti che dettano un’idea di felicità intrisa di dovere precostituito. A man and a woman, husband and wife, live together but as in two different worlds, inside giant grey skyscrapers and little anonymous flats. A voice tells them what to do, how to wash up, how to behave, forcing them into a routine scheme. As in a unsolvable enigma, a sight between satire and surreal into the traps of everyday life and into the alienation that orders out lifestyle. Narrated with ambiguous irony and subterranean restlessness, Future Flowers is a work centered on the economic and productive imperatives imposed in everyday life: hetero-directed dreams that dictate an idea of happiness imbued with preconceived duty. Will the "flowers of the future," the new life that might be born, offer a real chance for change?
