Bernard ha 63 anni, vive da solo con due gatti ed è appena andato in pensione. Dopo vent’anni ha deciso di lasciare Parigi per trasferirsi a Lilas. Il regista, suo amante e slave, lo segue con la macchina da presa nelle varie fasi della separazione dalla casa dove ha vissuto, dagli oggetti (ed i ricordi) accumulati e dai due amori della sua vita morti di AIDS.

Tracce di una vita piena che Bernard riesce a raccontare in modo autentico, mantenendo un perfetto equilibrio tra nostalgia e sguardo rivolto al futuro, tenerezza e provocazione.

I giochi sessuali che lo legano al regista diventano un'occasione per unire due generazioni: tra lo schiocco di una frusta e una briglia di cuoio, si parla di amore, di morte, di AIDS, del nuovo progetto di vita di Bernard e della loro relazione. Le ferite e il bagaglio funebre di chi è sopravvissuto, un grido di vita alla luce delle pulsioni sessuali e del desiderio.

Bernard, 63 years old, just retired. He lives alone with his two cats and decides leave Paris and to move to Lilas. The film director, his lover and slave, follows him with the camera in the different phases of the separation from the house where he lived, from the objects (and memories) accumulated and from the two loves of his life who died of AIDS. 

Bernard retrace his full life in an authentic way and with an emotional storytelling, achieving a balance between tenderness and provocation, nostalgia and expectations for the last chapter of his life.

The sexual games that bond him to the director become an opportunity to connect two generations: between a whip and a leather harness, they discuss love, death, AIDS, Bernard’s new life project, their relationship. The wounds and the grave goods of a survivor, a cry of life under the lights of sexual urges and desire.
