Samp, killer di professione che viene ingaggiato da un potente presidente per uccidere i tradizionalisti. L’uomo Samp è affetto da turbe psicologiche che cura con la musica. Dopo aver ammazzato la madre, vaga nella terra di Puglia alla ricerca della donna ideale; durante il suo vagabondaggio incontra persone che conducono una vita naturale, personaggi alla ricerca delle proprie origini e un singolare musicista. Improvvisamente si innamora. Non una ma più volte. Di donne inconsistenti. Uccide ancora e torna un poco umano, di quell’umanità che finirà per stroncare le sue ambizioni di potere.
Le riprese di sono iniziate diciannove anni fa e terminate nel 2020. Si vedono i personaggi invecchiare insieme agli autori, mentre la vivacità delle immagini e dei colori è castigata in un fotogramma che palpita sullo schermo.

Samp, a professional killer, is hired by a powerful president to kill traditionalists. Samp is a man suffering from psychological disorders that he tries to cure with music. After killing his mother, he roams around the land of Puglia looking for the ideal woman; during his wanderings he meets up people who lead a natural life, characters seeking after their origins and a peculiar musician. Suddenly he falls in love. Not once but several times. With inconsistent women. He kills again and he goes back being a little more human, that humanity that will end up crushing his lust for power. 
The filming of began nineteen years ago and ended in 2020. The characters are seen to age along with the authors, while the vitality of the images and colors is castigated in a frame that throbs on the screen.
