Red Love is a moving first film, in which bodies struggle to avoid being swallowed up by the darkness and the oppressive silence of a Burgundy’s village, more of an emotional landscape, the scene of a delirious love that frays the contours of reality. In a constant threshold crossing, Gaël reveals himself as a stray cat, stripped of every predetermined identity, coloured by a pain of ever-changing nuances.
