Una compagnia petrolifera avida e senza scrupoli riesce a rubare il contratto di proprietà delle terre a una tribù indiana uccidendo uno di loro. La tribù, sul piede di guerra, decide allora di uccidere qualsiasi uomo bianco si avvicini alla riserva. Sarà proprio Buster a varcare per primo il cancello del villaggio indiano. Dopo un inseguimento e successivo rogo dal quale Buster riesce a salvarsi grazie a un abito ignifugo, diventerà un componente della tribù aiutando gli indiani a riconquistare il maltolto. The paleface è un film che nasce come parodia del genere western americano degli anni ’20 anticipando in maniera sorprendente la posizione a favore degli indiani contro l’arrogante uomo bianco.

A greedy, unscrupulous oil company has stolen an Native American tribe’s lease to their land and killed one of them. Furious, the tribe orders that the first white man who enters their encampment be killed, and Buster ends up being that man. After escaping death thanks to a fireproof suit, Buster becomes a member of the tribe and helps them regain their land. The Paleface is a parody of American Westerns of the 20s and it is an early and unexpected promotion of Native Americans against the arrogance of the white man.
