Buster e Fatty gestiscono un garage che è anche una stazione dei vigili del fuoco. The Garage è uno dei corti più maturi e divertenti del duo comico, dove l’influenza del giovane Keaton è già evidente nelle scelte registiche e nelle esilaranti gag del film.

Buster and Fatty run a garage that is also serves as a firehouse. In Part I, they try to wash a car, but instead they make a mess of oil and grease all over the garage. Meanwhile, a young dandy is trying to seduce the daughter of the garage's owner of the garage. He fails, largely because of disasters caused by Buster and Fatty's clumsiness. In Part II, Buster and Fatty, while struggling with a false fire alarm, end up finding a real fire in the garage. The Garage is one of the comic duo's funniest and best-developed short films. The young Keaton exerted a clear influence on Arbuckle's choices as a director and on the film's gags.
