REPEINDRE LE MONDE

Le utopie nascono, altre ne muoiono, alcuni ne soffrono le conseguenze e ne pagano il prezzo. Separata dalla madre a tre anni e mezzo, Patricia, pittrice, ha trascorso la sua infanzia all’interno della comunità settaria di Otto Mühl alla quale era stata affidata dalla madre per essere cresciuta e educata. Oggi madre e figlia in un intenso confronto provano a capire le scelte che portarono la piccola Patricia all’interno della comunità fondata in Austria nel 1976.

Utopias appear, others just die, some suffers the consequences and pay the price. Separated from her mother at three and a half, Patricia, painter, spent her chilhood in the Otto Mühl sectarian community, to which her motherleft her to be raised and educated. Today mother and child in an intense comparison try to understand the reasons that brought the little Patricia inside the community founded in Austria in 1976.

L’AUTRE CÔTÉ

In un piccola cittadina delle Cévennes, le targhette dei numeri civici di Rue de l’Industrie sono scomparse, questo però non impedisce alla posta di arrivare comunque. Da un lato della strada il cantiere di un nuovo “Museo delle arti e delle tradizioni popolari”, un progetto che intende ripristinare un antico laboratorio di filatura della seta dove gli operai discutono della necessità di un cambio nelle condizioni di lavoro. Dall’altro lato una zona di alloggi a basso affitto pieno di residenti poveri e disperati. Un muro li separa.

In a small town in the Cévennes, the street numbers of Rue de l'Industrie have disappeared, but this does not prevent mail to be delivered (anyway). On one side of the road, we can find the building site of a new "Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions", a project with the aims to restore a former silk spinning laboratory where workers talk about the need for a change of working conditions. On the other side, a low-rent housing area filled of poor and desperate residents. There is a wall in between.
