È mezzanotte al palazzo del principe Dom Luis Felipe Maria, una donna esce correndo dalla dimora reale e affrettandosi per le scale scivola, perdendo una scarpetta. Sarà l’unico segno rimasto al principe della presenza della donna al ballo appena conclusosi. Il giorno dopo il principe, aiutato dal suo fedele Dom Alfonso, comincerà un’ossessiva ricerca della donna e della scarpa mancante. Prendendo spunto dalla celebre favola popolare, Boa noite Cinderela è una riscrittura che mette al centro il tema del desiderio in un gioco fatto di intrecci e ambiguità, con una messa in scena perennemente sospesa in un clima tra l’onirico e il fiabesco. Il film ha partecipato alla Semaine de la critique del Festival di Cannes nel 2014.

It's midnight in Prince Dom Luis Felipe Maria's palace, a woman leaves hastily the royal palace and, while she is running away, she slides on the steps and loses her little slipper. It's the only hint left to the prince of her presence at the ball. The next day the prince, helped by his loyal Dom Alfonso, starts an obsessive search for the woman and the missing slipper. Inspired to the famous folk tale, Boa noite Cinderela is a rewriting that focuses on the theme of desire in a plot made of twists and ambiguity, with a set-up constantly suspended in a dreamlike and fantastic mood. The movie was screened at the Cannes Film Fest's Semaine de la critique in 2014.
