Team Hurricane racconta la storia di otto ragazze adolescenti che durante un’estate scoprono il bisogno dell’una per l’altra nell’affrontare il caos che l’adolescenza porta con sé. Nel mettere in scena un gruppo di teenager radicali in un mondo ordinario, questo film punk tutto al femminile fonde materiale documentario con elementi molto stilizzati di finzione. La regista Annika Berg ha scovato le otto protagoniste attraverso i social media e con loro ha sviluppato, in modo collaborativo, i personaggi e lo stile espressivo del film.

Team Hurricane ritrae in modo estremamente onesto e naturale che cosa significa essere adolescenti con tutta la gioia, le difficoltà, i crolli e l’eccitamento che ciò porta con sé, in un mondo che finalmente permette di esplorare appieno la propria identità ben al di là dei ruoli binari di genere.

Team Hurricane tells the story of eight teenage girls that over the course of one summer come to realize they need each other to ride out the storm of adolescence. Depicting radical girls in an ordinary world, the punk chick flick mixes documentary material with highly stylized fiction. Director Annika Berg found the eight girls starring in the film through social media and through close collaboration they developed the characters and narrated the expressive style of the film.

Team Hurricane depicts in a very natural and honest way what being an adolescent means with all the joys, the struggles, the falling and the excitement that comes with it, in a world that finally allows them to fully explore their identities far beyond gender binary roles.
