Aicha, Kim e Nell sono tre giovani ragazze che amano il rugby nonostante i pregiudizi e i commenti delle persone che le circondano. Mentre le guardiamo giocare, ridere e confrontarsi, fra camerini e campi da gioco, ascoltiamo le loro voci raccontare cosa vuol dire essere giovani donne e praticare uno sport normalmente associato agli uomini. Un documentario sull’autoaffermazione di genere, fuori da ogni gerarchia normativa maschilista: un invito a non seguire gli schemi imposti dalla società e ad essere sé stesse, abbracciando una sana passione per lo sport, vissuta come una vera e propria forma di resistenza ai preconcetti.

Aicha, Kim e Nell are three young girls who love rugby despite the prejudices and comments that surround them. While we watch them play, laugh and confront each other, among dressing rooms and playgrounds, we listen to their voices telling what it means to be young women and practice a sport normally associated with men. A documentary on gender self-assertion, out of any male-dominated normative hierarchy: an invitation not to follow the patterns imposed by society and to be yourself, embracing a healthy passion for sports, experienced as a true form of resistance to preconceptions.

Prima di studiare media audiovisivi studia scienze politiche; si diploma poi come assistente di regia all’ESEC nel 2014. Lavora come stage manager e assistente di regia su diversi set di lungometraggi e cortometraggi. Completa la laurea magistrale in sceneggiatura all’Università Paris X – Nanterre, e in questo periodo scrive il suo primo lungometraggio. Nel frattempo, gira il suo primo documentario, Les roses et les bleus, prodotto da Haïku Films con l’aiuto di CNC.

Before studying audiovisual medias, she studies political science; she then graduates as mise-en-scène assistant at ESEC in 2014. She works as stage manager and mise-en-scène assistant on several sets of feature films and short films. She completes her master’s degree in scriptwriting at the University Paris X – Nanterre and, in the meantime, she writes her first feature film script. Meanwhile, she shoots her first documentary, Les roses et les bleus, produced by Haïku Films with the help of CNC.
