All’interno di un sex club, tra tanti corpi nudi che si possiedono fugacemente, Théo e Hugo si incontrano ed è subito colpo di fulmine. Basta uno sguardo e i due cominciano ad amarsi nella straniante atmosfera di luci colorate e musica a palla. Fuori dal club i due amanti vagheranno insieme per le strade vuote di Parigi in un avventuroso fuori orario, travolti da una girandola di emozioni fatta di desiderio e stupore fino al terrore di Théo di aver contratto il virus dell’HIV. Ducastel e Martineau mettono in scena un percorso amoroso, un viaggio notturno verso la vita, antidoto contro la malinconia e la disperazione.
Inside a sex club, among the many naked bodies that fleetingly possess, Théo and Hugo met each other and is immediately love at first sight. After just a glimpse the two guys begin to love each other inside the alienating atmosphere of colorful lights and pumped up music. Outside the club the two lovers wander together across Paris empty streets in an adventurous after hours, overwhelmed by a pinwheel of emotions made of desire and wonder until Théo’s nightmare of contracting HIV virus. Ducastel and Martineau stage an amorous path, a night trip towards life, antidote to melancholy and despair.
Olivier Ducastel, Jacques Martineau
Olivier Ducastel è nato a Lione il 23 febbraio 1962. Dopo aver frequentato la scuola di cinema di Parigi, IDHEC, ha lavorato come montatore e poi come regista. Da settembre 2013 è responsabile della direzione del dipartimento al FÉMIS (École Nationale Supérieure des Métiers de l'Image et du Son). Jacques Martineau è nato a Montpellier l’8 luglio 1963. Ha studiato letteratura, laureandosi con una tesi su Honoré de Balzac. Docente di letteratura e scrittura di sceneggiatura presso l'Université Paris-Ouest. I due hanno realizzato insieme film come Drôle de Félix (1999), Ma vraie vie à Rouen (2003), Crustacés et coquillages (2005) e L’Arbre et la forêt (2010).
Olivier Ducastel was born in Lyon on 2/23/1962. After attending the Paris film school, IDHEC, he worked as an editor and then a director. Head of the direction department at FÉMIS (École Nationale Supérieure des Métiers de l'Image et du Son) since September 2013. Jacques Martineau was born in Montpellier on 7/8/1963. He studied literature, graduating with a PhD on Honoré de Balzac. A lecturer in literature and script writing at the Université Paris-Ouest. The two directors realized together different works such as: Drôle de Félix (1999), Ma vraie vie à Rouen (2003), Crustacés et coquillages (2005) e L’Arbre et la forêt (2010).
