Risultato di una gestazione lunghissima e stratificata, il film ripercorre la storia di Cristo in modo filologico: Maria che partorisce, Giuseppe timoroso, Erode, i Re Magi, Cristo che predica fino alla crocifissione. Ma il Cristo di Rezza è circondato da un’umanità che deambula in una condizione di incoscienza e mediocrità e l'unica possibile reazione che gli rimane è urlare fino a perdere la voce, dimenarsi per sfuggire al sacrificio previsto per salvare gli uomini: al suo posto il Cristo bambino morirà crocifisso. Come dichiara lo stesso Rezza che interpreta Cristo: "Il film mi sfugge di mano, è come se il mio corpo, facendo irruzione nel racconto, strappi l’opera all’autore pezzente che l’opera controlla. Io ho un corpo instabile che si rifiuta di seguire le direttive che la mente imporrebbe. Ho il corpo dolente che mi sfila il potere dal pensiero. Il Cristo autentico la penserebbe come me".

As result of a very long and stratified creative process, the film tells the story of Christ in a philological way: Mary giving birth, fearful Joseph, Herod, the Three Kings, Christ preaching until his crucifixion. But Rezza's Christ is surrounded by human beings wandering in a state of ignorance and mediocrity and the only possible reaction for him is to scream until he loses his voice, squirming to escape the sacrifice expected to save men: the infant Christ will die crucified instead of him. As Rezza himself who plays Christ states: "The film gets out of hand, and as if my body, breaking into the story, prevents the author from controlling what he has created. My suffering body refuses to follow the rules that my mind would like to establish. My body aches and prevents my thought from prevailing. The real Christ would think like me”.
