Questo è l’obiettivo di questo documentario, che attraverso la testimonianza di parenti, amici, ammiratori e collaboratori mostra l’evoluzione della carriera di Alfredo Cohen tra politica, insegnamento, teatro, musica e cinema. Il film racconta la storia di un uomo che ha lasciato una traccia piegando le forme di espressione che frequentava, sfumando i confini fra i sessi e le sessualità, tra italiano e dialetto, tra teatro colto e popolare, tra vita e arte.
