Il nero torbido del carboncino, il bianco sporco della carta, e i segni di una lotta artistica e sentimentale consumata sul crinale tra composizione e decomposizione.
Y è un film d’animazione il cui titolo rimanda all’incognita, al dubbio che ogni relazione schiude rispetto alla propria durabilità, simboleggiando anche un’iniziale unità che nel corso del tempo si usura fino a biforcarsi e a scindere l’originale simbiosi in irreparabile distanza. Un bivio, dunque, che pone la protagonista e gli spettatori di fronte a due opposti: l’intimità e l’allontanamento, l’inizio di un amore e la sua fine. Y è un viaggio rizomatico di osservazione prossima del desiderio e del corpo femminile, tratteggiato in ogni angolo e curva e colto quasi sempre sotto il tocco desiderante di due amanti destinate a non ritrovarsi mai più.

The turbid black of the charcoal, the dirty white of the paper, and the signs of an artistic and sentimental struggle played on the ridge between composition and decomposition.
Y is an animated film whose title refers to the unknown, to the doubt that every relationship opens up regarding its own durability, but that also symbolizes an initial unity that wears out over time until it branches out and splits the original symbiosis in an irreparable distance. A crossroads, therefore, that let the protagonist and the spectators face two opposites: intimacy and estrangement, the beginning of a love story and its end. Y is a rhizomatic journey of close observation of desire and female body, outlined in every corner and curve and almost always caught under the desiring touch of two lovers destined to never meet again.

Nata nel 1993, è una regista e animatrice croata. Ha studiato Film d’Animazione e Nuovi Media all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Zagabria. Ha contribuito in maniera significativa a numerosi progetti e ai film di diversi generi che sono stati premiati e proiettati in festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Attualmente vive a Zagabria, dove continua a creare animazioni per diversi progetti artistici e commerciali

Born in 1993, she is a Croatian film director and animator. She studied Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She has made significant contributions to multiple projects and films of different genres that were screened and given awards on various domestic and international film festivals. She currently resides in Zagreb, where she continues to actively produce animations for several art and commercial projects.
