Il regista Mariano Llinás si siede in un piccolo giardino, apre un quaderno e disegna un fiore. È lo schema del film che stiamo per vedere: sei storie, quattro iniziano e si interrompono a metà, una inizia e finisce, una inizia a metà e finisce, concludendo il film. Sei diversi generi cinematografici, dal thriller paranormale al dramma musicale, dallo spionaggio all’autofiction, dal remake alla pura contemplazione. Un caleidoscopio di possibilità il cui palcoscenico è la misteriosa pampa argentina e le cui protagoniste sono quattro donne che attraversano l’ipertesto cinematografico, interpretando personaggi sempre diversi.
Dalla scuola argentina di El Pampero Cine, un’impresa titanica che ha richiesto più di un decennio di produzione. Un inno alla gioia del racconto e della fantasia che sa essere ironico e inquietante, commovente e grottesco, accattivante e sorprendente.

The director Mariano Llinás sits in a little garden, opens a notebook and draws a flower. It is the scheme of the movie we are about to see: six stories, four of them start and stop in the middle, one of them starts and ends, the last one starts in the middle and ends, concluding the entire movie. Six different cinematographic genres, from the paranormal thriller to the musical drama, from espionage to autofiction, from remake to pure contemplation. A kaleidoscope of possibilities, whose stage is the mysterious Argentinian pampa, and whose protagonists are four women that cross the cinematographic hypertext, starring as different characters in every story.
From the Argentinian school El Pampero, a titanic achievement realized in more than ten years. A hymn to the joy of fantasy and storytelling, ironic and unsettling, moving and grotesque, captivating and surprising.

Classe 1975, di Buenos Aires, figlio del critico e poeta Julio Llinás, è considerato fra i più importanti esponenti del Nuevo Cine Argentino. Esordisce con Balnearios nel 2002 al Festival del Cinema Indipendente di Buenos Aires, per approdare in Europa con lo stesso film al Festival di Rotterdam del 2003. È l’inizio di una carriera da regista attraverso tanti formati (dal cortometraggio fino a film narrativi di svariate ore come Historias extraordinarias del 2008) e da sceneggiatore, specialmente per Santiago Mitre (con cui collabora per La cordillera del 2017 e Argentina, 1985 del 2022, l’ultimo dei quali in concorso alla 79° Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia). I suoi film, compresi gli ultimi due (Corsini interpreta a Blomberg y Maciel e Clorindo Testa) viaggiano per i festival di tutto il mondo, da Barcellona a Jeonju fino al Torino Film Festival. La Flor è stato presentato in concorso al Festival di Locarno nel 2018.

Born in 1975 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, son of the film critic and poet Julio Llinás, he is considered one of the most important authors of the Nuevo Cine Argentino. His first movie, Balnearios (2002), premiered at the Festival of Independent Cinema of Buenos Aires; then, it is presented in Europe at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2003. It is the start of a career as a director of different kinds of work (from the short movie to the extra-long titles such as Historias extraordinarias from 2008) and as a scenarist, especially for Santiago Mitre (in particular for the dialogues of La cordillera, 2017, and Argentina 1985, 2022; the latter was in Competition at the Venice Film Festival). His movies, including the last two (Corsini interpreta a Blomberg y Maciel and Clorindo Testa) travel through different film festivals around the world, from Barcelona to Jeonju to the Turin Film Festival. La Flor was in Competition at the Locarno Film Festival in 2018.
