Una notte dell'ottobre 2011, dal sogno di un uccello tanto misterioso quanto premonitore nasce Cuco, un pirata di latex transgender.
Un manifesto scritto tutto d'un fiato in Messico in seguito a questa visita, seguito da una prima apparizione in una notte di dicembre in un club in Francia. Ma Cuco non è solo un nottambulo, un abitante della notte, perché, nell'affrontare la transfobia e lo stato emergenziale, si unisce ad altre vite relegate e ai margini. Herman@s segue questo piccolo cavaliere della notte e del giorno, che cerca di creare forme di riconoscimento e resistenza con quelli che chiama “mis hermanas, mis hermanos”, sorelle e fratelli.
Una lotta collettiva che prende le forme di una danza sfrenata e sciamanica in bianco e nero che attraversa i luoghi della terra.

In a night in October 2011, a mysterious and prescient bird dream gave birth to Cuco, a transgender latex pirate. A manifesto written in one go in Mexico following this visitation was followed by a first appearance one night in December in a club in France. But Cuco is not just a night owl, because Cuco, in confronting transphobia and the state of emergency, joins forces with other lives left behind.
Herman@s follows this little knight of the night and the day, who tries to create forms of recognition and resistance with those he calls “mis hermanas, mis hermanos”, sisters and brothers.
A collective struggle that takes the form of an unrestrained and shamanic black and white dance which crosses countries and continents.

Artista e graphic designer, frequentando dal 2006 al 2011 un corso d’arti applicate in grafica e illustrazioni mediche ha cominciato a impegnarsi per le comunità e identità trans. Realizza OPÉ-TRANS, un progetto su vari interventi di femminilizzazione e mascolinizzazione in collaborazione con l'associazione OUTrans. Nel 2012 frequenta l’Istituto di Belle Arti a Parigi specializzandosi in ceramica, installazione e performance. Parallelamente, lavora come graphic designer per circoli femministi e fa parte di diversi collettivi militanti, lottando per la comunità queer. Dal 2017 insegna design grafico ed editoriale portando avanti la sua pratica transdisciplinare. Fa parte del collettivo di ricerca Bye Bye Binary sulla tipografia inclusiva e nel 2021 ha prodotto questo primo cortometraggio.

Graphic designer & artist. It was during a complete course in applied arts in graphic design and medical illustration from 2006 to 2011 that Hélène started dedicating herself to trans identities and communities. In this regard, OPÉ-TRANS is a project on the various feminizing and masculinizing operations in collaboration with the association OUTrans. In 2012, Hélène joined the Beaux-Arts de Paris, and specialized in ceramics, installation and performance. At the same time, Hélène responds to graphic design orders for feminist circles and collaborators and belongs to several militant collectives, fighting for the queer community. Since 2017, they teaches graphic and editorial design, while continuing their transdisciplinary practice. Hélène is part of the inclusive typographic research collective Bye Bye Binary and in 2021 produced their first short film.
