Dorothy è una regista un po' sfigata. Sola nella sua stanza e un po’ annebbiata dall’alcol, si concentra sulla sua sceneggiatura, BIKER CHICKS IN LOVE. Ma una telefonata del suo produttore le fa passare la voglia: basta con le commedie queer, è ora di cominciare a fare film meno estremi e più commerciali! Accasciata in pigiama nel suo minuscolo monolocale, Dorothy sprofonda negli abissi della paranoia e della disperazione. Congelata dai dubbi su sé stessa, cerca conforto nel suo programma televisivo preferito Romy l'ammazzavampiri... Sfortunatamente per Dorothy, i suoi stessi demoni hanno deciso di uscire allo scoperto e sarà una notte da ricordare!
Dopo De la Terreur mes soeurs! un’altra opera squisitamente kitsch a rivendicare un nuovo cinema militante queer che guarda al camp glitterato degli anni ’90 e all’irriverenza sgraziata del grunge e del pop-punk, in grado di rovistare nel trash televisivo e musicale per ribaltarlo e farlo esplodere, con ironia, dall’interno.

Dorothy’s a film director and a bit of a loser… Alone and fueled up on Heineken, she lets loose on her script, BIKER CHICKS IN LOVE. But a call from her producer kills her buzz: enough already with the queer comedies, it’s time to start making mainstream films. Slumped in her pajamas in her tiny studio apartment, Dorothy sinks to the deepest depths of paranoia and despair. Frozen by self-doubt, she seeks comfort in her favorite TV show Romy the Vampire Slayer… Unfortunately for Dorothy, her own demons have decided to come out of the woodwork and it’s going to be a night to remember!
After Terror, Sisters! another exquisitely kitsch work which claims a new militant queer cinema inspired by the glittering camp of the 90s and by the irreverence of grunge and pop-punk music, capable of rummaging in the TV and music trash to overturn it and to make it explode, ironically, from the inside.

Dopo aver studiato all'università di Paris 8 – dove scrive una tesi su Magdalena Montezuma – e all'École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy, Alexis Langlois gira con il G.R.E.C. Fanfreluches et idées noires, cortometraggio nel quale filma festaioli e performer della Parigi underground. L'anno successivo, gira con la stessa troupe il musical À ton âge le chagrin c'est vite passé. Mentre finisce il suo terzo film, De la terreur, mes sœurs!, prodotto da Les films du bélier, scrive il suo primo lungometraggio Les reines du drame e sviluppa una sitcom burlesca, Body Positive. Il suo ultimo lavoro, Les Démons de Dorothy è stato selezionato al Festival del Cinema di Locarno 2021.

After studying at the University of Paris 8 – where he writes a thesis on Magdalena Montezuma – and at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy, Alexis Langlois shoots with the G.R.E.C. Fanfreluches et idées noires, a short film in which he records revelers and performers of the underground Paris. The following year, he shot the musical Your Young Years Will Dry Your Tears with the same troupe. While he was finishing his third film, Terror, sisters!, produced by Les films du Bélier, he was writing his first feature film Les reines du drame and developing a burlesque sitcom, Body Positive. His last work, The Demons of Dorothy, has been selected in Locarno Film Festival 2021.
