Oggi è all’apparenza un giorno come un altro per Kalthoum e le sue amiche. Sorseggiano cocktail, cercano sesso su Internet, vogliono con impazienza l'amore e, ancora una volta, subiscono gli insulti transfobici da parte di sconosciuti. Ma le cose non andranno come al solito: oggi, tra un cosmo e un chardo, le quattro amiche transgender immagineranno la loro vendetta.
La nuova opera di Langlois è attraversata da una furia kitsch acida, caustica. Presenta persone fiere della propria eccentricità e propone di riprendersi dall'ordinaria intolleranza in uno dei modi migliori: ridendo a crepapelle, ma senza fiaccare o svilire lo spirito combattivo che ha animato le rivolte per la liberazione sessuale.

Today is apparently a day like any other for Kalthoum and his girlfriends. They sip cocktails, look for sex on the internet, impatiently want love and, once again, suffer the transphobic insults of strangers. But today, it's not going to happen like that: today, between a cosmo and a chardo, the four transgender friends will imagine their revenge.
Langlois’ latest short is inflamed by a vitriolic, caustic fury. It shows people who are proud of their eccentricity and it proposes as well to recover from ordinary intolerance in one of the best ways: laughing hard, but without weakening or debasing the fighting spirit that animated the riots for sexual liberation.

Dopo aver studiato all'Università Paris 8 – dove scrive una tesi su Magdalena Montezuma – e all'École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy, gira con il G.R.E.C. Fanfreluches et idées noires, cortometraggio nel quale filma festaioli e performer della Parigi underground. L'anno successivo, gira con la stessa troupe il musical À ton âge le chagrin c'est vite passé, presentato al Sicilia Queer Filmfest nel 2017. Mentre finisce il suo terzo film, De la terreur, mes sœurs!, prodotto da Les films du bélier, scrive il suo primo lungometraggio Les reines du drame e lavora a una sitcom burlesque, Body Positive.

After studying at the University of Paris 8 – where he writes a thesis on Magdalena Montezuma – and at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy, Alexis Langlois shoots with the G.R.E.C. Fanfreluches et idées noires, a short film in which he records revelers and performers of the underground Paris. The following year, he shot the musical À ton âge le chagrin c'est vite passé with the same troupe. While he was finishing his third film, Terror, sisters!, produced by Les films du bélier, he was writing his first feature film Les reines du drame and developing a burlesque sitcom, Body Positive.
