Marcelo è un dandy quarantenne che si ricorda le sue vite precedenti, un uomo che ricama fra le trame insondabili della vita una dose di tragedia calcolata. Un tempo fu un pingue condottiero, o ancora un poeta romantico desideroso di trovare il fiore azzurro e di sfiorare ciò che non esiste ma che, tuttavia, c’è. Il suo corpo, insostenibilmente carnale, è filmato nel suo farsi figura senza organi, assecondando un percorso che oscilla tra vita e morte, brutto reale e bello ideale.
Sfidando lo sguardo indagatore della cinepresa, Marcelo non si sottopone a una seduta psicanalitica, ma racconta le sue memorie di necrofilo, consapevole che l’azzurro non può essere carpito dall’occhio, ma dal suo rovescio volgare, un ano profondo come un buco nero che racchiude in sé l’origine e la fine del mondo.

Marcelo is a dandy in his forties who can recall his past lives, a weaver of calculated tragedies among the unfathomable wefts of life. He was once a stout warlord and also a romantic poet who wanted to find the blue flower in order to touch what does not exist but that can be felt. His body, unbearably carnal, is filmed in the becoming a figure without organs, following a path that oscillates between life and death, ugly reality and ideal beauty.
Defying the inquiring gaze of the camera, Marcelo does not undergo a psychoanalytic session, but instead recalls his memories of necrophile who is aware that the blue cannot be grasped from the eye, but from its vulgar reverse, an anus as deep as a black hole that contains in itself the origin and the end of the world.

Gustavo Vinagre
Nato nel 1985, è regista, sceneggiatore e attore. Ha studiato letteratura all’Università di San Paolo e sceneggiatura all’EICTV di Cuba. Ha diretto diversi cortometraggi come Filme para poeta cego (Rotterdam 2012), La llamada (Festival dei Popoli 2014), Nova Dubai (Torino 2014, Rotterdam 2015), Os cuidados que se tem com o cuidado que os outros devem ter consigo mesmos (Indie Lisboa 2017), Filme-catástrofe (Queer Lisboa 2017). Il suo primo lungometraggio Lembro mais dos corvos, presentato alla nona edizione del Sicilia Queer filmfest, ha vinto il premio come migliore opera prima al Cinéma du réel 2018 e miglior film all’Indie Lisboa dello stesso anno. Ha inoltre recitato in Just Past Noon on a Tuesday, cortometraggio di Travis Mathews che ha vinto la competizione Queer Shorts dell’ottava edizione del Sicilia Queer filmfest.
Rodrigo Carneiro
Nato nel 1984, ha studiato Storia all’Università di Ouro Preto e montaggio all’EICTV di Cuba. È stato ricercatore presso il dipartimento di cinema della facoltà di Belle arti dell’Università Concordia. Ha scritto e diretto i cortometraggi Marilia (2011), Microsieverts (2012) and Copyleft (2014). Ha montato e prodotto diversi corti e lungometraggi.

Gustavo Vinagre
Born in 1985, he is a director, screenwriter and actor. He studied Literature at São Paolo University and Scriptwriting at the International School of Film and TV (EICTV) in Cuba. He directed several shorts like Filme para poeta cego (Rotterdam 2012), La llamada (Festival dei Popoli 2014), Nova Dubai (Torino 2014, Rotterdam 2015), Os cuidados que se tem com o cuidado que os outros devem ter consigo mesmos (Indie Lisboa 2017), Filme-catástrofe (Queer Lisboa 2017). His first feature film Lembro mais dos corvos, screened in Sicilia Queer’s 2019 edition, won best first film at Cinéma du reel 2018 and best film at Indie Lisboa of the same year. He also starred in Travis Mathews’ Just Past Noon on a Tuesday, which won the Queer Shorts competition in the 2018 edition of the Sicilia Queer filmfest.
Rodrigo Carneiro
Born in 1984, he studied History at Ouro Preto University and Film Editing at the EICTV in Cuba. He was a guest researcher at the film department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Concordia University. He is the writer and director of the shorts Marilia (2011), Microsieverts (2012) and Copyleft (2014). He has edited and produced several shorts and feature films.
