Linfa è generoso documentario corale sulla scena artistico-performativa underground femminile di Roma est, sulla passione per l'arte e la musica, sulla libertà di essere ciò che vogliamo davvero essere, alla scoperta del proprio sé più autentico, al di là dei ruoli stereotipati e imposti dalla società contemporanea, e sulla scelta di seguire il talento e i desideri che danno linfa e restituiscono un senso alla nostra esistenza. Una storia di resistenza artistica che diventa politica declinata al femminile a testimonianza della possibilità di opporre mondi creativi alternativi al consueto.

Linfa is a generous choral documentary about the artistic / perfomative underground female scene of West Rome, about the passion for art and music, about the freedom to be what we want to really be, discovering our most authentic self, beyond the stereotypical roles as well as imposed by contemporary society, and about the choice to follow the talent and the desires which give nourishment and give back a sense of our existence. A story about artistic resistance which becomes politic declined to feminine, testifying about the chance to oppose creative worlds different from the usual.

Nata a Roma, Italia. Dopo essersi laureata in studi classici, si è iscritta ad un corso di fotografia alla IED di Roma. Si è poi trasferita a New York, dove è diventata assistente del fotografo Hiro (Yasuhiro Wakabayashi). Tornata in Italia, ha lavorato alcuni anni come fotografa freelance per riviste come Epoca e L’Espresso. Nel 1994 ha frequentato un corso di cinema alla New York University. Da allora, ha diretto documentari e cortometraggi premiati in festival di tutto il mondo.

Born in Rome, Italy. After graduating in classical studies, she entered a photography course at Rome's IED. She moved to New York City, where she became assistant to photographer Hiro (Yasuhiro Wakabayashi). Back to Italy, she worked for a few years as freelance photographer for magazines such as Epoca and L'Espresso. In 1994 she attended a film class at New York University. Since then, she directed documentaries and short films awarded at festivals worldwide.
