Un ventenne in motocicletta, con le fattezze da coniglio e l’animo del lupo, trova la redenzione esaudendo l’ultimo desiderio della sorella morente: perdere la verginità. Nel cuore della notte va alla ricerca di un giovane prostituto con la consapevolezza che allo sconosciuto sarà possibile varcare la soglia oltre la quale egli deve invece arrestarsi. Si recano insieme alla capanna, situata in un bosco incantato, dove vive tutta la famiglia.
Coelho mau è una favola erotica e scricchiolante, ma anche un melodramma familiare che esplora le dinamiche della sconfitta, della perdita, della solitudine metabolizzate attraverso la rabbia del giovane che affiora nel conflitto interiore e interpersonale.
A twenty-year-old biker, disguised as a bunny but with the heart of a wolf, finds redemption by carrying his dying sister’s final wish: the loss of virginity. In the middle of the night he wanders in search of a young prostitute boy, knowing that the stranger will be able to cross the threshold beyond which he must stop instead. They go together to the hut, surrounded by an enchanted forest, where the whole family lives.
Bad Bunny is an erotic and creaky fable, but also a family melodrama that explores the dynamics of defeat, loss, loneliness understood through the young man’s rage, surfacing in the inner and interpersonal conflict.
Carlos Conceiçao
Nato in Angola nel 1979. Ha conseguito una laurea in anglistica, focalizzandosi soprattutto sullo studio della letteratura romantica anglosassone. Nel 2006 si è inoltre diplomato in regia cinematografica presso la Lisbon Theatre and Film School e, poco dopo, ha cominciato a realizzare video installazioni e videoclip. Ha diretto diversi cortometraggi, tra cui Boa Noite Cinderela (2014), O Inferno (2011), Carne (premiato all’IndieLisboa nel 2010) e Versailles (proiettato a Locarno, a Vila do Conde e a Mar Del Plata nel 2013). Coelho mau ha debuttato alla Semaine de la Critique del Festival di Cannes.
Born in Angola in 1979. He majored in English with a focus on Anglo-Saxon literature of the Romanticism. In 2006 he also majored in film directing at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and, soon after, he started creating video art, music videos and even installations. He directed several short-film, including Goodnight Cinderella (2014), O Inferno (2011), Carne (awarded at IndieLisboa in 2010) and Versailles (which was shown in Locarno, Vila do Conde and Mar Del Plata in 2013). His short film Bad Bunny (2017) had its world premiere at the Semaine de la Critique at Cannes Film Festival.
