Il desiderio è il filo conduttore di questo corto che unisce protagonisti, attori e spettatori in un meccanismo circolare in cui l’onirico e il reale si intrecciano. Un triangolo mostruoso, una coppia e una giovane ragazza, danno vita a una catena di passioni amorose in cui i gesti dell’uno trovano eco nelle scene successive dell’altro. Oltre al desiderio, sono rappresentati anche l’amore per il teatro e i piaceri della vista e dell’ascolto (simboleggiato da un piacere differito, che nasce grazie a un suono registrato). All’incrocio di queste diverse entità, che sono il nucleo di questo poema erotico, fluttuano le isole del desiderio.

The desire is the theme of this short that involves characters, actors and spectators into a circular mechanism in which the dreamlike side and the real one are intertwined. A monstrous triangle, a couple and a young girl, create a chain of love passions where the gestures of one find echo in the subsequent scenes of the other. In addition to desire, the love for the theatre and the pleasures of the eye and of the ear (symbolized by the deferred elation, with the sound recording). At the crossroads of these several entities, which are the body of this erotic poem, there are the floating islands of the desire.

Yann Gonzalez nasce a Nizza nel 1977. Giornalista di formazione, il suo primo esordio cinematografico risale al 2006, quando realizza Something Behind, lavoro che è rimasto però sempre inedito. Sempre al 2006 risale il cortometraggio By the Kiss, seguito poi negli anni successivi da Entracte (2007) e da Je vous hais les filles (2008), che sono stati tutti presentati all’interno della sezione Quinzaine des réalisateurs del Festival di Cannes. Nel 2009, Les astres noirs, realizzato per Canal +, è stato selezionato nuovamente da Cannes ma all’interno della Settimana Internazionale della Critica. Nel 2012, presenta altri due cortometraggi: Nous ne serons plus jamais seuls e Land of my dreams, mentre nel 2013 realizza il suo primo lungometraggio, Les Rencontres d’après minuit che è stato premiato al Milano film Festival. Attualmente lavora al prossimo lungo, Knife + Heart.

Yann Gonzalez was born in Nice in 1977. After starting his career as a journalist, her realized his first film debut Something Behind in 2006, a work that is still inedited. In the same year he made the short film By the Kiss, followed by Entracte (2007) and Je vous hais les filles (2008), which were all presented at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs section of the Cannes Film Festival. In 2009, Les astres noirs, made for Canal +, was selected from Cannes for the International Critics Week. In 2012, he realized two short films: Nous ne serons plus jamais seuls and Land of my dreams, and in 2013 he made her first feature film Les Rencontres d'après minuit, which was awarded at the Milan Film Festival. Currently he is working on the next feature, Knife + Heart.
