Come può il ritratto della bis-bis-nipote di Napoleone trasformarsi sotto le mani dell’artista Constantin Brancusi in un’enorme e dorata forma fallica? Partendo da questa domanda, la voice over di Gabriel Abrantes ci conduce alla scoperta dei “ferventi spiriti” che animarono il panorama artistico e scientifico dei primi del ‘900, descrivendo in tal modo un crocevia di personaggi tanto folli quanto geniali, in questo suo personalissimo e ironico omaggio nei loro confronti. Assistiamo quindi all’amore platonico tra l’intellettuale iconoclasta Marie Bonaparte e il dottor Sigmund Freud; mentre la controversa opera di Brancusi, esposta a New York nel 1917, viene surclassata in quanto a scandalo dall’orinatoio di un tal R. Mutt, alias Marcel Duchamp.

How can the portrait of the great great grandson of Napoleon get transformed into a huge, golden phallic form in the hands of artist Constantin Brancusi? With this question in mind, Gabriel Abrantes’ voice over leads us to the discovery of the "fervent spirits" which animated the artistic and scientific landscape of the early years 900s, describing a crossroads of deranged as much as brilliant characters, in this very personal and ironic tribute to them. We therefore assist to the platonic love between the intellectual iconoclast Marie Bonaparte and Dr. Sigmund Freud; while the controversial work of Brancusi, shown in New York in 1917, is outclassed by the urinal by a certain R. Mutt, aka Marcel Duchamp, for being scandalous.
