In un piccola cittadina delle Cévennes, le targhette dei numeri civici di Rue de l’Industrie sono scomparse, questo però non impedisce alla posta di arrivare comunque. Da un lato della strada il cantiere di un nuovo “Museo delle arti e delle tradizioni popolari”, un progetto che intende ripristinare un antico laboratorio di filatura della seta dove gli operai discutono della necessità di un cambio nelle condizioni di lavoro. Dall’altro lato una zona di alloggi a basso affitto pieno di residenti poveri e disperati. Un muro li separa.
In a small town in the Cévennes, the street numbers of Rue de l'Industrie have disappeared, but this does not prevent mail to be delivered (anyway). On one side of the road, we can find the building site of a new "Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions", a project with the aims to restore a former silk spinning laboratory where workers talk about the need for a change of working conditions. On the other side, a low-rent housing area filled of poor and desperate residents. There is a wall in between.
Isabelle Bourgueil
Ha fondato e diretto una casa editrice in scienze sociali e umane e letteratura. Ha cominciato a occuparsi di cinema organizzando workshop di cinema per ragazzi con amici, registi e montatori. Il gruppo realizza due cortometraggi: Happiness in bed and in the line (2014) e By the way, somos todos cousins (2015). Da novembre 2015 a febbraio 2016 frequesta un Master in “Produzione di film documentari creativi” a Lasalle, all’interno di una collaborazione tra la ci ttà di Lasalle, l’Università di Montpellier “Paul Valery” e gli Ateliers Varan. L’autre côté è il suo film di diploma.
She has created and managed a publishing house in human and social sciences and literature. She gets hooked by the cinema when she leads movie workshops for teenagers together with friends of her, director and editor. The group realizes two short films: Happiness in bed and in the line (2014) and By the way, somos todos cousins (2015). From November 2015, till February 2016 she attends a Master 2 class “Creative documentary film making” at Lasalle, through a partnership between the city of Lasalle, Paul Valery University in Montpellier and Varan studios. L’autre côté is her graduation film.
