Combinando la sensuale attività del cucinare e una poesia d'amore, Prinzessin des Alltags dà un'occhiata da vicino anche a questa verità. Il regista Dan Dansen ci regala un'intima visione della sua relazione con il partner Fabia attraverso una narrazione calma formata da lunghi piani sequenza. Quello che sembrava essere chiaro e ovvio diventa improvvisamente fragile, ambiguo e queer: una storia di coming out attraverso un'altra prospettiva.
We are creatures produced by society – even in the parts we think as our most private. By combining the sensual activity of cooking and a love poem, Princess of everyday life takes a closer look at this very fact. Director Dan Dansen gives an intimate insight into his relationship with his partner Fabian through a calm narration characterized by long camera shots. What seemed to be clear and obvious suddenly becomes fragile, ambiguous and queer: a coming-out story through another perspective.

È nato a Friburgo, Germania nel 1982. Si è laureato in Studi Culturali e in Letteratura Tedesca alla Humboldt-Universität di Berlino in 2014. Il documentario Sounds Queer è parte della sua tesi di Master in Studi Culturali ed è stato proiettato al DOK.fest di Monaco. Dan Dansen ha studiato Arti e Media alla Università della Arti di Berlino dal 2014, scegliendo di concentrarsi sul cinema. Frequenta la classe di Thomas Arslan cercando di esplorare le possibilità narrative dei film.
He was born in Freiburg, Germany in 1982. He majored in Cultural Studies and in German Literature at Humboldt University Berlin in 2014. The documentary Sounds Queer is part of his Master's Thesis in Cultural Studies and premiered at DOK.fest Munich. Dan Dansen has studied Arts and Media at the University of the Arts in Berlin since 2014, choosing to set his main focus on films. He attends the class of Thomas Arslan in order to explore the narrative possibilities of movies.
